Games That Could Be Awesome Movies

We see hordes of movies based on books that grace the screen time and again, and we also see few ones that are influenced by video games.
Albeit the ones that have been produced are disheartening and need to rot in the depths of hell, and hence we bring to you the games that should be made into movies, pronto!

1. God Of War

alt
Let’s face it, there’s nothing better than clubbing the badassery of Greek mythology, some heavy duty bashing that is reminiscent of Prince of Persia, and a landscape worth gawking at. And God Of War seems to have it all! It has the ancient gods in place to keep the anthropological geeks happy, enough high-octane drama to keep the movie-buffs sated, and ample lot of action to have the usual bunch who’re all there to see some blood spill! And simply put, it’s fun to see Greek Gods going haywire, as we’ve grown to enjoy such movies since the advent of cinema!

2. Dead Space

alt
Simply put, Dead Space is all that you get when Half Life meets Doom meets a wee-bit of Gears Of Wars and Aliens and hordes of other things. The plot is what catches your attention in the first minute itself, and it thickens with every passing moment! You are sent on a spaceship that is mining in an obscure corner of space that sends out a distress signal, and when you get there, you find everyone dead and strange horrifying creatures attacking you. Now the twist shows up when they unearth a valuable relic that is sought after by a futuristic religion and that’s where it all kicks off. Sounds interesting? Damn right, it is!

3. Halo

alt
A world-renowned game itself, Halo needs no introduction. It has gone on to form a cult following of its own. Halo’s story is as action-packed as its gameplay. Based on the fight to save humanity from some ultra-ugly and horrendous aliens and to destroy the world’s most powerful weapon left by a race tens of thousands of years ago, Halo offers every thrill imaginable for a movie-goer. The story-line is gripping, and so is the action. Not to forget the ever-awesome Master Chief who happens to be the protagonist of the series and is thoroughly capable of whooping some alien derriere that’ll keep you asking for more. Club that with the ever-branching storyline, Halo would be a delight to watch!

4. Devil May Cry

alt
Consider this to be a typical Bollywood flick paired with the awesomeness that Hollywood beholds. Devil May Cry revolves around Dante’s goal to avenge his mother’s death, only to realize his mother was killed by the demon king himself. Dante later winds up fighting his evil twin and realizing his father too was a demon, albeit a good one! Calling this absurdly stupefying would be an understatement, and yet it truly is! The sword-wielding techniques, close combats, narrative, and the devilish yet suave demeanour of Dante is what makes Devil May Cry unique, and all these aspects perfectly imbibed in a game will do the trick equally well!

5. Hellgate: London

alt
What happens when hell’s gate decides to open up, that too in the hustling bustling future city of London? Chaos ensues! And this is the type of chaos we like! There are monsters, dragons, devils, and every other creature imaginable set loose from the depths of hell to fulfil the devil’s deeds, and an army of brave men is summoned as the last hope to defend mankind against the evil that faces them. Expect a bit of Lord Of The Ring-ish mastery unveil itself with the polished brilliance of that of British’s MI6, and you’d get Hellgate: London. Oh, and as an added bonus, the fine lady in the game is well-versed with the use of guns and blades. Rejoice!
